About Dr. Adodo

Illuminating Afrikan histories, cultures, and thought.

Dr. Talawa Adodo is a scholar of Africana Studies, holding a doctorate from the world-renowned Africology & African American Studies program at Temple University. He has taught courses on Afrikan and Afrikan diaspora histories and cultures, language politics in the Caribbean, and Pan-Afrikanist social and political thought.

A published author in peer-reviewed journals, he has lectured and led workshops across North America, the Caribbean, Europe, and Afrika. His scholarship and commentary bring intellectual clarity to the issues facing Afrikan people — from music to cultural empowerment and racial justice — from a culturally conscious perspective.
